Scarlett Johansson is an American actress and performer who was born in NYC the city of New York, on November 22nd in 1984. Her performances have earned her acclaim across a wide variety of genres, including historical drama, thrillers and action adventures. Johansson was the child of a film director and architect. Her family was based in New York City. Hunter was twins with their younger sisters. She began to develop an interest in acting at an early age and was auditioning for commercials before age seven. Following a short period beginning her study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Then, in the following years, the Professional Children's School was opened in Manhattan. In the Off-Broadway play Sophistry she co-starred with Ethan Hawke. She then made her first film appearance on screen in North (1994) and was written by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson subsequently appeared as a character in Just Cause (1995) but her breakthrough was Manny & Lo (1996) an upcoming film that follows abandoned sisters who escape. Her next film won the attention of critics for her character in the film as a teen who been injured in a horrific accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention for her role as the cynical teenage outcast Rebecca on the set of Ghost World (2001). Renee Felice Smith was a young girl when she started her career in entertainment. As a child, she became fascinated with acting. With the help from her parents, Smith landed her first acting job in the age of 6. She was a part of a television commercial for Dannon yogurt. As many new actresses, she chose to develop her talent in theatre. In addition, she worked on other initiatives across the USA, while Wildflower was her first onstage performance.
