Her birthplace was Yarrawonga located in Victoria, Australia. Her father was married to Ojales in 1982. Jasmine her younger sister also works as an actress. Clare is a cousin of theirs on the death of their father. Clare passed away at 4 months of age in 2007 after suffering from an cardiovascular disease.
